Late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein specifically referenced his relationship with US President Donald Trump in writing before the latter was elected to office and in the run-up to the 2020 election, according to newly obtained emails released on Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee.
The three email exchanges were released by the Democrats from a batch of more than 23,000 documents the committee recently received from the Epstein Estate in response to a subpoena. They include correspondence between Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.
