Parle-G biscuits, recognised as a fundamental component in Indian households for their connection to chai breaks and quick snacks, have historically not been regarded as a luxury item.

A recent viral post originating from Gaza has disclosed a startling price surge, with a resident claiming that a packet of Parle-G, produced by Mumbai-based Parle Products, was being offered for over 24 euros (approximately INR 2,342). This revelation has left netizens, who are well-acquainted with Parle-G’s reputation as one of India’s most affordable food products, in a state of astonishment.

"After a long wait, I finally got Ravif her favourite biscuits today. Even though the price jumped from 1.5 euros to over 24 euros, I just couldn't deny Rafif her favourite treat," the post read.
