A terminally ill man has lost his fight for life just two days after getting engaged and touching the ocean for the final time as part of his heartbreaking bucket list.

Rob Haste got engaged to partner Angie Horner on Valentine's Day and the couple were planning to marry next month. Their wedding would have completed a wish list 51-year-old Rob wrote after he was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma of the spine just two months ago.
But Rob died at his home in Exeter, Devon, on Tuesday morning.
Since announcing their engagement the residents and businesses in the couple's local community had been rallying around to offer wedding services. Angie said they had planned to wed on March 31, which was her birthday.
The 40-year-old said, "I want to thank Robert for pulling me through the difficult times and for being the best of my life he was my rock."Rest in peace babe, I love you forever and always. I would also like to say thank you to all those who were going to help towards our wedding. It truly meant a lot to both of us."
A week before he died, Rob had also been pictured enjoying one final ride along his favourite beach in Exmouth, Devon, on a specially designed wheelchair. He was able to fulfill his wish of touching the sea - after his wheelchair was towed into the waves by a pony.
Rob had been lifted into a special 'off road' trike which was hitched up to a pony and pulled into the surf. Speaking afterwards Rob said: "It was absolutely amazing. It was the first time in a couple of years I had seen or been to the beach. I actually got to put my hand in the water. It was very cold! I didn't think I would ever get to see the beach again."
