The United States of America got its first African-American Attorney General in Eric Holder, who was sworn in today by Vice President Joseph Biden.

Holder's nomination was approved by the US Senate yesterday by 75 votes to 21. He had earlier served as Deputy Attorney General under Clinton Administration.
Speaking on the occasion, Holder asserted that there would be no political favouritism as long as he heads the Department of Justice and professionals would be given their due position.
