India, US send clear message to Taliban after joint meeting

The two leaders also emphasised on the importance of efforts to provide humanitarian aid to Afg and called on the Taliban to allow safe and unhindered access for the UN

India and the US have called on the Taliban to respect the human rights of all Afghans, and asked the new rulers to make sure that the territory is never used to threaten or attack any country.

‘Examine Pak’s role’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also raised concerns about Pakistan during talks with US President Joe Biden as well as at the broader four-way summit with the leaders of Australia and Japan. “A more careful monitoring of Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan—and on terrorism—is required,” Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said.
