A 32-year-old Indian-origin woman, who was reported missing from Maine Township near here since January, has been found dead, according to police officials, who suspect it to be a case of suicide.

The body of Sangitagen Patel was recovered from the Des Plaines River on Sunday, Cook County Sheriff's Office spokesman Steve Patterson said on Tuesday. Patterson said there were no signs of foul play and an autopsy by the Cook County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was drowning.
