At least 30 people were injured after a massive earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale struck Japan’s Fukushima prefecture, authorities said on Sunday. The quake which struck late on Saturday night was preliminarily measured with a magnitude of 7.1 and was later revised up to 7.3, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said.
The injuries were reported in Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, Xinhua news agency quoted the authorities as saying.
