UNSC to hold emergency meeting on Venezuela following US military operation

According to UNSC presidency, the session is scheduled for 10 am local time under the agenda item ‘Threats to international peace and security’. Somalia is currently serving as the rotating president of the 15-member UNSC, which comprises five permanent members and 10 non-permanent ones

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will convene an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss the recent military operation by the United States (US) in Venezuela and the capture of deposed dictator Nicolas Maduro and his wife, news agency ANI reported.

According to UNSC presidency, the session is scheduled for 10 am local time under the agenda item ‘Threats to international peace and security’.
