"Palace officials have been under huge pressure from Kate to try to persuade the Queen to agree to a Scottish wedding," one source told The Sunday Express. "Scotland will always have a special place in Kate's heart because that is where she met William. Diana connection "Kate is adamant that she does not want to get married in London, especially not at St Paul's Cathedral because of the previous associations with Charles and Diana. "Nor does she want to marry in Westminster Abbey because there have been so many royal and state funerals there."
