Dr Shakil Afridi, who helped the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) in locating al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, has claimed that ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) funds militants in the country.
He claimed, “It is now indisputable that militancy in Pakistan is supported by the ISI and Pakistan’s fight against militancy is bogus. It’s just to extract money from America”.
Fox News claimed that its correspondent had conducted the interview in the Peshawar Centre Jail. Quoting Dr Afridi, the transcript of the interview said that he was severe tortured and suffered brutal interrogation.
