Lahore: A Pakistani anti-terrorism court has concluded the cross examination of prosecution witnesses, including some revenue officers, in the terror financing case against Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and his three close aides. The Anti-Terrorism Court-I indicted Saeed and his close aides - Hafiz Abdul Salam, Muhammad Ashraf and Zafar Iqbal - on terror financing charges on December 11. "Lawyers of Saeed and his close aides completed the cross examination of the prosecution witnesses in the Anti-Terrorism Court-I Lahore here on Thursday," a court official told PTI after the hearing which lasted for more than six hours.

The prosecution had produced a good number of witnesses against Saeed and others, he said. ATC Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta directed the defence lawyers - Naseeruddin Nayyar and Muhammad Imran Fazal Gul - to present its witnesses from Friday, the official said. Separately, the ATC-II held a hearing against Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) spokesperson Yahya Mujahid and Hafiz Abdur Rehman Makki in the terror financing case against them and recorded the statements of the witnesses. The ATC-II adjourned the hearing of this case till January 14.
