Trump claims he stopped India-Pakistan conflict through trade

US President Donald Trump claimed he stopped a brief conflict between India and Pakistan in May by threatening to halt trade with both nations. Trump said “seven planes were shot down” before tensions eased. India, however, refuted his claim, stating that peace was achieved through direct diplomacy

US President Donald Trump has again claimed to have 'stopped' the brief conflict between India and Pakistan in May and said "seven brand new beautiful planes were shot down".

Trump, while delivering remarks at a dinner with business leaders during his visit to Japan on Tuesday (local time), said that he stopped the conflict through trade.
