Llorenç Soler Adrover, a teenager from Spain, has shaken the world with his weight-y achievement. Now, for context, an average cantaloupe weighs a little more than 25 kilograms, while a washing machine weighs about 30 kilograms, synonymous with an average bag of cement.

Adrover, now 19, has managed to grow a cantaloupe weighing a whopping 31.446 kg, beating his own record set in 2019 of a cantaloupe weighing 30.47 kg. It takes years for some to master the “green thumb” cross-breeding seeds and nurturing soil until their plants thrive under near-perfect conditions. Setting the image of a teenage prodigy in cultivating these edible monstrosities, Adrover has been practising this art for all his teenage years. The photo shows Llorenç proudly tending to the fruit as it grew, later posing beside not just one, but three enormous cantaloupes. Cantaloupes are known for their rich concentration of vitamin C, vitamin A and Potassium, now that’s no CAP, the bigger the better.
