The United States Senate on Tuesday sided with President Donald Trump and rejected an effort to force him to end the U.S. military's support for Saudi Arabia's bombing operations in Yemen. Senators voted 55-44 to table the resolution, effectively killing it, according to The New York Times. Moreover, the vote coincided with a White House meeting between Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, at which the president lauded US defense sales to Saudi Arabia.
