<p>Awami League activists blocked the Gopalganj-Tekerhat Road by felling trees and vandalised government vehicles. The clashes intensified as NCP leaders left their rally, reportedly attacked by AL supporters, resulting in at least four deaths and several injuries as violence spread across the district</p>

In response, the government imposed a curfew in Gopalganj from 8 pm on Wednesday until 6 pm on Thursday to control the situation

<p>Meanwhile, the government-formed committee has been ordered with investigating the violence and directed to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit its findings to the Chief Adviser`s Office within two weeks</p>
