One of the most interesting battles is that of Sena vs Sena in the Worli constituency. While Worli has always been a bastion of the undivided Shiv Sena, the voters will be voting a split Shiv Sena this Assembly Elections. Giving a competition to Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Aaditya Thackeray is Milind Deora from the Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. In an exclusive chat with Mid-day’s Katyayani Kapoor, Milind Deora talks about Worli’s issues, challenging Aaditya Thackeray and vision for Mumbai.

10 July,2024 03:15 PM ISTPradeep Nakhwa, husband of Kaveri Nakhwa who tragically lost her life in Mumbai hit & run case in Worli, recounted the devastating event. He described how they were returning home after buying fish when a car suddenly crashed into them. The impact was so severe that they were thrown from their vehicle. Shocked and injured, they couldn't understand what had happened. The driver fled without stopping, dragging Kaveri along with the car. Despite Pradeep's efforts to follow the car, he lost track of it. Later, he discovered that his wife had succumbed to her injuries. He is now seeking justice for his wife and children, expressing frustration over the delay in apprehending the culprit.
09 July,2024 12:59 PM ISTIn a tragic incident in Mumbai's Worli area on July 7, a woman lost her life in a hit-and-run accident involving a luxury BMW and a motorcycle. The victim, identified as Kaveri Nakhwa (45) from Worli Koliwada, was riding with her husband when the car collided with their bike. Her husband sustained injuries and is currently hospitalized. The Worli Police recovered the BMW from Bandra and have registered a case against two individuals who were in the car during the incident. Mihir Shah, allegedly driving the car, and Rajesh Shah, his father and a leader of Shiv Sena in Palghar district, are involved in the case. Rajesh Shah has been detained, while Mihir Shah is currently absconding.

He expressed his displeasure on this question. Instead of acknowledging the issue, CM Shine said we should welcome the rains rather than complaining about waterlogging in the city. He was interacting with reporters after the Maratha Mandir Amrit Mahotsav in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Shinde paid a visit to the flood-affected areas of the city on Sunday morning to assess the situation after the first rainfall.
