This meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Crown Prince arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India. He was welcomed at the airport by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and received a ceremonial welcome. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit is scheduled from September 9 to 10, at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi. The leaders discussed ways to improve cooperation between their countries during their bilateral talk. 16 February,2024 12:58 PM ISTPrime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate first traditional Hindu Mandir in UAE and the largest in the West Asia on February 14. Made with 1,800,000 bricks and 689,512 man-hours, 40,000 cubic feet of marble, 180,000 cubic feet of sandstone have been used in the temple. The cost of 108-foot-tall is estimated to be approximately million 440 Dirham. Foundation stone for the temple was laid by PM Modi in 2017. Built on 27 acres of land, the colossal structure can accommodate up to 10,000 people. The temple draws its inspiration from ‘lotus in the desert’. The temple boasts seven spires, each representing an emirate in UAE.

Upon his arrival at the temple, PM Modi was welcomed by BAPS priests. PM also offered prayers at the temple and offered performed aarti. The temple was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchmi. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Abu Dhabi has been built by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Notably, much before this PM Modi UAE visit, PM Modi had launched the project for the construction of the Temple in 2015. In 2018, the PM unveiled a model of the traditional stone temple as well. The Temple is a reflection of the graciousness of Govt of UAE, which has gifted 17 acres of land to it.
