Typhoon Halong has slammed into western Alaska, bringing record storm surges that devastated coastal villages. Hundreds of residents were airlifted in one of the largest evacuations in Alaska’s history as homes were swept away and communities flooded.

A tragic bus accident occurred near Gholtir in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on June 26, when an 18-seater bus plunged into the Alaknanda River. The crash killed three people and injured several others. Two critically injured victims were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment. The bus carried passengers from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haridwar. Rescue operations are ongoing
