Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP over unfulfilled promises in the state budget. He pointed out that the BJP had pledged in their manifesto to provide free electricity to farmers for irrigation and to allocate Rs 25,000 crore for the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel agro-infrastructure mission. Additionally, they had promised Rs 1,000 crore for the Bhamashah Scheme, which was supposed to guarantee Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops like tomatoes, potatoes, and other vegetables. In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath explained that every big task goes through three stages: first, mockery, then opposition, and finally, acceptance. He used the example of the SP leader, Akhilesh Yadav, to illustrate this point. Yogi pointed out that Akhilesh had opposed the Maha Kumbh event from the very beginning. However, despite his earlier opposition, Akhilesh quietly went to the Kumbh and took a holy dip. Yogi emphasized that this act of participation showed how Akhilesh, who once opposed the event, had eventually accepted it, highlighting the natural process of change from resistance to acceptance in important matters.
