UP Bus accident: Major bus accident on Yamuna Expressway kills five

Five people lost their lives, and fifteen others were injured when a double-decker bus collided with a truck on the Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh on the night of November 20th, Wednesday. The bus, traveling from Delhi to Azamgarh, was overtaking another vehicle when it crashed into a truck carrying glass items. The accident occurred in the Tappal area of Aligarh, where visibility was significantly reduced due to fog, increasing the likelihood of accidents. The bus, operated by Krishna Travels, a company based in Faizabad, was heading towards Azamgarh when the tragic incident took place. The bodies of the deceased passengers have been sent for post-mortem, while the truck involved in the accident has been seized by the police. Following the accident, police teams rushed to the scene and initiated rescue and relief operations. The injured passengers were quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Legal proceedings have been started in connection with the incident. Traffic on the Yamuna Expressway was later cleared and normal movement was resumed. The authorities are investigating the cause of the UP bus accident, with poor visibility due to fog being a major factor.
