President Droupadi Murmu conferred Arjuna Award to Para-archer Sheetal Devi on January 09. Para-archer Sheetal Devi received Arjuna Award for her achievement in archery. Sheetal Devi, a 16-year-old para archer created history and won three medals at the Para Asian Games in China`s Hangzhou. 

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami was bestowed with the Arjuna Award on 9 January 2024 by the President of India Droupadi Murmu. Shami`s name was recommended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India after his sensational outing in the ODI World Cup 2023.
