President Droupadi Murmu conferred Arjuna Award to Para-archer Sheetal Devi on January 09. Para-archer Sheetal Devi received Arjuna Award for her achievement in archery. Sheetal Devi, a 16-year-old para archer created history and won three medals at the Para Asian Games in China's Hangzhou. 

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami was bestowed with the Arjuna Award on 9 January 2024 by the President of India Droupadi Murmu. Shami's name was recommended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India after his sensational outing in the ODI World Cup 2023.
