Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized for the tragic incident involving an Azerbaijani passenger plane in Russian airspace. He expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims` families and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, according to Reuters. The Azerbaijani plane, flying from Baku to Grozny, was following its scheduled route when it attempted to land at Grozny airport. At that time, the airport was being attacked by Ukrainian drones. Russian air defense systems were responding to the attack, the Kremlin said. The crash of Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 8432 near Aktau, Kazakhstan, resulted in 38 deaths.
