Bidita Bag opens up about her character in Bhaukaal 2

Helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherji and Vasan Bala, the anthology series feature intricate and complex characters enacted by Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Ali Fazal, Shweta Basu Prasad, Anindita Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Bidita Bag, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, among others.

“The film is a slice-of-life drama. It has been adapted from a story, Palna, written by my wife Shruti Anindita,” informs the director Amitabh S Verma.

Bidita Bag talks about her journey from struggles to success, the rejections that she faced ever since she had dreams and desires to become an actor, and how fake auditions happen in Bollywood.  

Bidita Bag chose to be barefoot while in Bhopal for acing the character of social worker Daya Bai in the latter's biopic.

"She is an institution in herself. I got to learn so many things about the craft from her," said Bidita Bag about Rakhee.

The film, which explores homosexual relationships, had its first outing in 2010 followed by the second outing in 2016, which featured Zeenat Aman and Helen
