U.S. President Donald Trump has successfully mediated a historic peace deal between Thailand and Cambodia at the ASEAN Summit in Malaysia. The KL Peace Accord formally ends deadly border clashes that erupted earlier this year, resulting in dozens of deaths and hundreds displaced.

Thai police clashed with Cambodian civilians at a disputed border settlement, firing tear gas and rubber bullets, injuring at least 23. Thailand says its forces acted after protesters tore down barriers and attacked officials.
