Amid the ongoing rage over the sexual assault case at Anna University, Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai self-whipped himself as a mark of protest to demand justice in the Anna University alleged sexual assault case. Clad in a green dhoti, he held this protest in front of his house in Coimbatore whipping himself 6 times to lodge the protest. He charged that women are unsafe under the DMK regime in Tamil Nadu and vowed to usurp the DMK power.
