The city of Mumbai comes alive during the Ganpati festival like no other. Anant Chaturdashi on 17th September 2024, marked the end of this vibrant festival as thousands gathered on Mumbai’s beaches and visarjan spots to immerse the Ganpati idols. Big idols from the pandals as well as smaller idols were immersed in a mass ritual like no other. As devotees bid farewell to their favourite bappa with devotion in their hearts and tears in their eyes, the departing ritual was a grand event as the city witnessed huge processions on the beats of Dhol tasha.
