An Indian national has been taken into custody in the United States following serious allegations of sexual assault against a minor. The accused, identified as Vodela Yashaswi Kottapalli, is now facing removal proceedings under US immigration law. This case forms part of a broader crackdown on undocumented immigrants, with thousands being deported across 2025 under policies implemented during the second term of Donald Trump.
