Tibetan monks-in-exile celebrated the 90th birthday of the 14th Dalai Lama in Shimla with heartfelt prayers for his health and long life. The ceremony symbolised unity and cultural pride among Tibetans. Prime Minister Modi and other leaders extended warm wishes, while Hollywood star Richard Gere received blessings from the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala.
