Initial investigations suggest multiple Delhi schools have received similar emails of bomb threat in Delhi. Meanwhile, Delhi Government’s Directorate of Education has issueed advisory to schools after the hoax call directing the school authorities to inform immediately to the concerned DDE and the Delhi Police. According to details, the probe will be done by the Counter Intelligence Team Special Cell. Meanwhile, IFSO unit is also trying to find out the origin from where the mail was sent, added the agency, saying, the connection to Russia – IP address – has been revealed. Apart from this, the probing agency is also probing the angle of joint conspiracy between China and ISI.

Lodging a strong protest, MEA summoned the Canadian Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi. India’s action came after loud chants of ‘Pro-Khalistan’ slogans were raised in the presence of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau. The incident comes amid a sharp rise in anti-India sentiment in Canada in recent times. Reacting to the incident, MEA added that such incidents “illustrate political space given in Canada to separatism, extremism, violence”. Relations between India-Canada deteriorated after PM Trudeau alleged India’s role in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.
