The NEET Results Controversy seems to have shaken the faith of the students in the education system. Students are lodging protests and demanding re-exam for all. But what exactly is this NEET exam controversy? The NEET-UG, is the only entrance exam held each year for students seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions throughout the country. This year’s NEET-UG exam was held on May 5th with over 24 lakh students appearing across 4775 centres across India. The results were announced on June 4th. Bihar education minister Chandrashekhar on Wednesday courted controversy because of his remarks on Ramcharitmanas. He said Ramcharitmanas, a Hindu religious book which is based on the Ramayana, `spreads hatred in society`. The RJD leader made the remarks when he was addressing the 15th convocation ceremony of Nalanda Open University. Several Hindu sages objected to this remark.
