Today on 23rd July, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced her 7th Union Budget 2024 speech. The finance minister announced 9 priorities of the current government which included employment and skilling as one of the key areas of focus. Several employment-linked incentive schemes for employees and employers during her her speech. This encompassed supporting First-Time Job Seekers, Job Creation in the Manufacturing sector, Internship Schemes, Support to employers, Support for Working Women, and skilling and training. The replay was given over the Congress leader’s allegations of Gujarat being a ‘drug capital’ during the state Assembly Elections.  “Gujarat has become the centre of drugs. All drugs are moved from Mundra port but your government doesn't take any action. This is the Gujarat model. Gujarat is one state where you have to take permission before protesting; permission from those against whom protest will be done,” Rahul Gandhi said.
