Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commenced a landmark eight-day diplomatic tour, beginning with his first bilateral visit to Ghana to strengthen ties with President Nana Akufo-Addo. He will then visit Trinidad & Tobago (July 3–4) before attending the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro (July 6–7). Concluding on July 9, this is his longest foreign tour in a decade and underscores India’s leadership role in the Global South.
