Despite facing unprecedented COVID-19 related challenges in the year 2020, the Indian Railways was able to keep the national supply chain running and move millions of people back home. In a bid to step up its fight against the deadly Coronavirus, the Indian Railways had decided to completely shut down Mumbai's lifeline — the local trains — from March 22 midnight.
