Following the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI-171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, Ahmedabad’s BJ Medical College hospital was flooded with victims suffering severe burn injuries. The aircraft plunged into a residential area shortly after takeoff, claiming 241 lives. Medical Superintendent Dr. Rakesh Joshi described the aftermath as chaotic and emotionally overwhelming.
A tragic bus accident occurred near Gholtir in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district on June 26, when an 18-seater bus plunged into the Alaknanda River. The crash killed three people and injured several others. Two critically injured victims were airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment.
