The safety of minority communities, specially Hindus, in violence-hit Bangladesh remains a concern. On August 09, a large gathering of Hindu demonstrators took to the Dhaka streets against attacks on their properties. Protesters held placards reading ‘Hindu lives matter’, ‘Save Bangladeshi Hindus’ and photographs of vandalised Hindu houses & temples. As per Reuters, Hindus constitute about 8 pc of Muslim-majority Bangladesh’s 170 mn people and have largely supported Hasina’s ALP. Notably, Hindu temples, businesses and institutions have reportedly been targeted in Bangladesh. Earlier, EAM Jaishankar expressed concern over the situation in the neighboring country while highlighting attacks on minorities.

As Abu Dhabi’s first hindu temple, Bochanwasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha (BAPS) mandir is set to be inaugurated on 14th February, catch the mesmerising inside visuals of the UAE’s first Hindu temple, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. The BAPS Hindu Mandir is UAE’s first traditional Hindu stone temple. PM Modi had launched the project for the construction of the temple in 2015. The temple is ready to be inaugurated by PM Modi on February 14, during his two-day visit to the UAE. Preparations are in full swing in Abu Dhabi ahead of the inauguration of 'BAPS Mandir,' the first Hindu temple in UAE. After a clash was reported from Mumbai's Mira Road, bulldozers razed illegal structures and encroachments in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road on Tuesday. "Illegal structures and encroachments were razed by bulldozers in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road where Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha celebrations were stone pelted. After instructions from the Maharashtra government, action is being taken by the Municipal Corporation with the help of the police," the Maharashtra government said. Meanwhile, three persons were arrested in Mumbai and an FIR was filed against unknown individuals after at least four cases of outraging religious sentiments were filed in the city following the Mira Road Violence.
