MLK weekend travel has hit a major roadblock as a powerful winter weather system sweeps across the eastern half of the United States, disrupting both air and ground transportation. From the Great Lakes through the Northeast and into parts of the South, travellers are facing widespread delays, cancellations, and hazardous road conditions during one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year. According to FlightAware data, more than 3,200 U.S. flights have been delayed, while close to 95 flights were cancelled as snow, ice and strong winds impacted major travel hubs.
