The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast red alert for Mumbai and Raigad, warning of moderate thunderstorms, intense to very intense rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 50 km/h over the next three to four hours. Several parts of Mumbai have already reported waterlogging and traffic disruption. Meanwhile, IMD has released a pan-India seven-day forecast. Here is a quick look at the full weather update. 

On Saturday morning, Mumbai woke to light pre-monsoon showers, bringing much-needed relief from humidity. According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall is expected across the city.
