Cyclone Montha has begun its deadly landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast, unleashing torrential rains, violent winds, and chaos across the Bay of Bengal region. Over 50,000 people have been evacuated to relief camps as the storm intensifies into a severe cyclonic system. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, directing all agencies to remain on high alert.

High tidal waves were witnessed in the coastal regions of Gujarat on June 12. IMD has issued an Orange alert for Saurashtra & Kutch Coasts in view of the extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” over the east-central and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea.
