As Women’s Day 2025 is being celebrated all round the world, here is a daredevil story from the heart of the sea of a remarkable achievement by the Indian Naval woman officers. In the heart of the South Atlantic Ocean, two Indian Naval officers have been braving the odds yet stand tall against the test of tides. Amidst strong winds, rain and high waves, Lieutenant Commander Dilna and Lieutenant Commander Roopa are brave, determined, and unstoppable. Flagged off in October 2024 from Indian shores aboard INSV Tarini, these two officers embarked on a mission of grit and glory — a global circumnavigation like no other.
Mumbai’s Surbhi Bansal has defied the odds to pursue her dreams proving that determination can overcome everything. Surbhi Bansal was born with cerebral palsy, but that never stopped her from chasing her dreams. In June 2023, she left her job to dedicate herself to Kathak, a dance form that demands flexibility and precision. Despite the challenges, she proves that nothing is impossible with passion and perseverance.
