A critical medical evacuation mission from Ranchi to New Delhi ended in devastating tragedy after a Beechcraft C90 air ambulance crashed inside the dense forest region near Simaria in Jharkhand’s Chatra district. The aircraft, operated by Redbird Airways, was transporting a severely burnt patient identified as Sanjay Kumar from Latehar district, who had been admitted to Devkamal Hospital in critical condition. India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has launched a full investigation into the crash. A specialized team from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has been deployed to determine the exact cause, with weather conditions, technical factors and operational procedures all under examination.
