Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Indian lunar mission at the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 24. “It is a matter of pride for us that this achievement is being accepted as an achievement for all of humanity. On behalf of India, its people and our scientists, I thank the scientists and the world`s scientific community for their wishes on this historic moment,” he said.

With India’s ambitious lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 is all set to make the gentle landing at the south pole of the moon, all eyes are on India on this special day. In that series, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also congratulated India at the 15th BRICS summit, which is being held in Johannesburg. "I would like to congratulate India, particularly as you speak about the need for cooperation in Space, in a few hours India`s spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 will be landing on the moon. We congratulate you. This for us, as the BRICS family, is a momentous occasion and we rejoice with you. We join you in the joy of this great achievement," said the South African President.
