Reports indicate that 107 individuals were admitted to Kallakurichi hospital, with 59 subsequently referred to facilities in Salem, Villupuram, and Puducherry. Of the deceased, 18 lost their lives at Kallakurichi Government Hospital, underscoring the severity of the situation stemming from the consumption of illicit alcohol.

Following her admission, she was transferred from Woodburn Block to the Trauma Care Centre. This incident echoes prior injuries sustained before the WB Legislative Assembly Elections in 2021 and the Panchayat Polls in 2023.
