The vibrant and joyous festival of Gudi Padwa was celebrated by Hoisting the traditional Gudi and prayer to it on the New year for the Hindus on Gudi Padwa in Mumbai on 9th of April. People were seen participating in the Shobha Rally. Women were seen dressed in traditional attire and  participated in the Rally to mark the Marathi New Year Gudi Padwa. They danced their hearts out on the beats of dhol and nagadas. The festival was celebrated with full vigor and enthusiasm. Gudi Padwa ocassion signals yeh onset of the warmer days and the spring season. This year Gudi Padwa has coincided with the first day of the Chaitra Navratri and festivals like Sajibu Cheiraoba, Navreh, Cheti Chand and Ugadi that are celebrated in different parts of the country.

Maharashtra celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi 2024, huge crowd at Lalbaug

The 11-day Ganeshotsav celebrations kicked off in the state of Maharashtra. This is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in the state. Devotees were seen taking Ganpati idols home with huge enthusiasm. The area of Lalbaug in Mumbai is seeing an influx of devotees visiting to catch the glimpse of Ganpati Bappa in the famed pandals of the area. The area is lined up with famous Ganpati pandals like Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbaicha Raja and Chinchpokli Chintamani. Uddhav Thackerey attended the first aarti of Lalbaugcha Raja with his family. Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan was also seen visiting the pandal and worshipping Lalbaugcha Raja in the morning hours. Security is tight and robust arrangements have been done to manage the sea of crowds that gather in the Lalbaug area during the 11-day festival. 72 year old Muslim man brutally beaten by mob on train over beef suspicion

A video of a 72-year-old Muslim man being assaulted on a train in Maharashtra has sparked widespread outrage on social media. The incident, which took place on August 28, has drawn significant criticism, with many calling for stringent action against those responsible.
