As the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) is taking steps toward making public transport environment-friendly, besides planning to fleet around 4,000 e-buses by March 2024 it will soon be opening its door to provide EV charging stations for private vehicles The BEST is working on installing around 330 e-charging stations at 55 locations in Mumbai and 10 will be ready by March this year.

At Shanti Park Complex in Mira Road East, shopkeepers scuffled with officers and employees of the encroachment department of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation. The officers were present to take action against the illegal occupation and construction outside the shops and on roads. After the fight, police and municipal security guards detained the attackers.
