November 26, 2024, marked the 16th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, a tragedy that deeply impacted the nation. On this occasion, Maharashtra Governor Radhakrishnan paid floral tributes to the brave officers and martyrs at the Martyrs` Memorial, located at the Police Commissioner`s Office. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also paid his respects at the memorial. Additionally, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar joined in paying homage to the courageous individuals who lost their lives during the attack. The memorial serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave hearts who fought to protect Mumbai and its people during the tragic events of November 26, 2008.

11th July 2003, a date that remains etched in the hearts of every Mumbaikar. On this day, an ordinary evening turned out to be a fateful one for local train commuters of Mumbai as a series of devastating bombings rocked the financial capital city. On 11th July, 2006, the biggest tragedy of Mumbai i.e. Mumbai train bombing took place. It was 6:24 PM, when a sudden blast rocked a local train between Khar and Santa Cruz stations, piercing the evening calm with tragedy. Within minutes, six more explosions tore through train compartments at Matunga, Mahim, Bandra, Jogeshwari, Borivali, and Mira Road. The sequence of terror unfolded swiftly, targeting innocent commuters who were simply traveling home after a day`s work. The blasts left 209 people dead and over 700 injured, shocking the city to its core and leaving families and friends reeling in disbelief and anguish.
