Massive wildfires have destroyed about one-third of Namibia’s iconic Etosha National Park, burning through more than 34&#37 of its land. Authorities say the fires started last week, likely from charcoal production on nearby farms, and spread quickly due to dry winds. At least nine antelopes were killed, grazing land was wiped out, and communities around the park are at risk.

Two wildfires are burning out of control in the Florida Everglades, about 40 miles west of Miami. The larger blaze, called the Mile Marker 39 Fire, has exploded to 42,200 acres, making it the biggest wildfire in Florida this year. A second fire, the Saw Grass Fire, has burned 250 acres.
