The state of Assam is reeling under devastation from the incessant rainfall. The rain havoc has impacted over 5.15 lakh residents across 22 districts in Assam, leading to severe waterlogging, damage to homes, and displacement of families. According to the latest update from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), six people have lost their lives due to flooding, while five others died in separate landslide incidents. PM Modi has also spoken to Assam, Sikkim CMs & Manipur Governor and has assured all help and support while the rescue operations are underway.
