27 December,2021 01:56 PM ISTAs Mumbai and the rest of the country deal with the Omicron variant of Covid-19, there was some good news in store for children. After a gap of 20 months, civic schools in Mumbai for Classes 1 to 7 reopened. But, some private schools have decided to reopen after the Christmas holidays keeping in mind the current situation. Many children wearing uniforms and carrying schools bags appeared happy and excited while entering the premises of various schools across the city. Maharashtra currently has 28 cases of Omicron, including 10 in Mumbai and to contain the spread of new variant, it's incumbent upon authorities and parents to follow all Covid-19 related guidelines. According to Union Health Ministry, over 50 per cent of India's eligible population is fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
