While protest over BPSC paper leak continues, Lok Sabha MP Pappu Yadav on January 07 said that Jan Suraaj Chief Prashant Kishor should enrol himself in any drama show. He also said that he has called for ‘Bihar Bandh’ for January 12. On 6th January, Prashant Kishor was arrested for “illegal” fast unto death and granted unconditional bail shortly after. He has been hospitalised due to dehydration and infection. 

A clash occurred between Patna Police and supporters of Prashant Kishor, the leader of Jan Suraaj, on January 6. Prashant Kishor had been on an indefinite hunger strike at Gandhi Maidan when he was arrested by the police. His supporters reported that during the arrest, Kishor`s glasses were thrown. One of the supporters said, "I tried to pick up his glasses, but I got injured, and the police abused me. We don`t know where Prashant Kishor has been taken." The situation escalated as the police and supporters clashed, with the supporters expressing confusion and frustration about his arrest and whereabouts.
