The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted extremely heavy rainfall in Puducherry on Sunday as Cyclone Fengal made landfall on the coast on Saturday evening. The cyclone hit the Union Territory`s coastline at 7 PM on Saturday, causing severe weather conditions. Rescue operations are underway to evacuate stranded residents. According to IMD, Puducherry is expected to experience extremely heavy rainfall on Sunday, followed by moderate rainfall on December 2. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation, with teams deployed for rescue and relief efforts to ensure the safety of the affected population and manage any disruptions caused by the cyclone`s impact.
